Cal Poly football adds three coaches

Cal Poly head football coach Tim Walsh announced Wednesday that Terrence Brown, Dorian Keller and James Emma have all been added to the Mustangs’ coaching staff.

Brown played cornerback at Stanford from 2009 to 2013 and signed as an undrafted free agent with the Cincinnati Bengals before getting released during roster cuts. He is the older brother of Cal Poly quarterback Chris Brown and will assist Neil Fendall in coaching the defensive secondary this fall.

Keller, who will coach tight ends for the Mustangs, played wide receiver at Santa Rosa Junior College in 2004 and 2005 before playing at the University of San Diego in 2006. He went on to coach tight ends at San Diego in 2010 and 2011 before coaching tight ends in 2012 and 2013 and safeties and special teams in 2014 at San Diego State.

Emma, a defensive lineman at Cal Lutheran and an assistant defensive line coach for his alma mater the past two years, will coach linebackers for the Mustangs.
