Jamie Binns shot a 73 to lead Cal Poly women’s golf team to a sixth-place tie at the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational hosted by Seattle University at the Tacoma Country and Golf Club on Tuesday.
Binns finished with a 233 total on the par-72 course, good for 27th place in the two-day tournament. Madison Hirsh was the top finisher for Cal Poly, finishing in a tie for 19th place and shooting a 78 Tuesday for a 13-over 229.
The medalist was Jing Yan of Washington, who beat Charlotte Jaengkit of Grand Canyon on the first playoff hole. Jing Yan finished with a 215 after shooting 69 on the final day.
Washington was the team chanmpion with an 863. Cal Poly tied for sixth with Idaho with a 928 total.
