Cal Poly's Pridham nets award on eve of Big West men's soccer tourney

Cal Poly senior Mackenzie Pridham was named the Big West Conference Offensive Player of the Year in men’s soccer for the second straight year Monday.

And five other Mustangs received as All-Big West honors.

Senior defender Connor Drechsler and sophomore forward Matt LaGrassa joined Pridham on the first team.

Senior midfielder George Malki was a second-team selection while Mustangs wing players Justin Dhillon and Ari Lassiter were named to the Big West All-Freshman team.

Another player with local ties, UC Davis senior midfielder Alex Aguiar, of Atascadero, received honorable mention on the All-Big West team.

Pridham is one of 34 players selected for the Hermann Trophy Watch List for the most outstanding player in Division I soccer.
