The Cal Poly volleyball team fell to rival UC Santa Barbara 25-20, 25-17, 25-20 on Saturday night, dropping to 1-14 on the season and 0-3 in Big West Conference play.
Freshman Maddie Kuber led the Mustangs with 22 assists and 11 digs.
The Cal Poly juniors carried the Mustangs as Holly Franks and Chelsea Hardin both had nine kills, and Marianne Gera had a .429 kill percentage.
Kate Walters had nine assists and eight digs, and Megan McConnell had 12 digs and three blocks for the Mustangs.

For UC Santa Barbara, Katey Thompson had 15 kills with a .538 percentage, Ali Santi had 30 assists and Taylor Formico had 14 digs for the Gauchos (8-9, 1-2 Big West).

Cal Poly had a pair of top-20 individual finishes.
The Mustangs men placed 18th in the 8K race behind David Cordona, who placed 19th individually in 24 minutes, 55 second.
Alex Ciaraglia led the 15th-place Mustang women by placing 43rd in the 6K race in 22:04.
WOMEN’S WATERPOLOCuesta Rabobank Tournament
The Cougars fell 15-9 to American River and 8-5 to Santa Rosa on the final day of the tournament.
Shanae Laurisden netted five goals for the day, giving her a state-leading 46 on the season.
Erin Casey, Bailey Kelley, Lauridsen and Creighton McAfee also scored for Cuesta against American River Junior College.
Lauridsen, Temma Curry and Casey scored all of Cuesta’s goals against Santa Rosa.
Goalie Bianca Mango had a 25 saves on the day for the Cougars.
Cuesta went 3-1 and had four wrestlers go 4-0 in the tournament.
Matt Correa (125 pounds), Julian Purdy (141) and Jonathan Urango (174) were undefeated in their weight classes, and Staso Ilich won two matches at 149 and two at 157.
Cuesta opened with a 23-21 loss to Mt. San Antonio, before rallying for wins over Santa Ana (23-21), Bakersfield (28-21) and East Los Angeles (42-12).
