The seating configuration in Mott Gym is getting a tweak at Cal Poly men’s basketball games starting this season and coinciding with the addition of standalone hoop stanchions.

The Mustangs are adding a row of unobstructed chairs to three sides of the court, giving the university a chance to raise more money and fans a premium option to see the action.

Courtside seats are available for purchase through the Cal Poly Athletic Advancement office by calling (805) 756-7188. Season ticket prices are $1,200 per courtside seat or $3,000 for a three-year license and include every regular season and exhibition game.

Courtside seating packages also include game-day parking, admission to the Mustang Corral – Cal Poly’s pre-game social – and invitations to courtside seat holder receptions (dates to be announced).

The seats that are not sold will be given away to random spectators sitting in other portions of the gym.

“These unobstructed courtside seats, as well as our standing baskets, will create a special atmosphere for our supporters and student-athletes inside Mott Gym,” fourth-year head coach Joe Callero said in a news release. “The intimacy and intensity will make the front row ticket holders feel like they’re part of the game.”
