The Cal Poly men’s soccer team scored two goals in the opening three minutes of the game in a 3-1 road win over San Jose State on Sunday.
Mackenzie Pridham and Chris Gaschen each scored a quick early goal, then Ian Clark scored in the second half for the Mustangs (1-2-0).
It was the first time since October that Cal Poly scored more than one goal.
Cal Poly extended its unbeaten streak against the Spartans (0-2-0) to seven games.

Cal Poly goalkeeper Chase Hauser made three saves in the win.

The Mustangs fell to 1-4 on the season after being swept by Northeastern, 25-19, 25-13, 25-19, in a match at UC Santa Barbara.
Cal Poly had a .133 hitting percentage in the loss.
Chelsea Hardin led Cal Poly with 10 kills, and Maddie Kuber added nine.
Kate Walters had 12 digs and 18 assists, and Nicole Kessler added a team-high 14 digs for the Mustangs.
Kelly Bacon had 11 kills for Northeastern (6-2).
Cal Poly next plays Friday, when it begins the USC Classic.
