The Cal Poly wrestling team erased a late three-point deficit to rally past defending Pac-12 tournament champion Boise State 22-20 on Sunday.
It’s the first win over Pac-12 powerhouse Boise State since the team defeated the Broncos 20-15 during the 2006-07 season. The Mustangs (3-2, 2-1 Pac-12) had fallen to Boise State four times by a combined score of 119-24 prior to Sunday’s win.
Ryan DesRoches advanced to 19-0 with a 9-3 decision over Boise State’s Scotty Bacon.
Boris Novachkov, now 19-2 on the year, posted a 13-2 major decision over Ben Demeulle.

Cal Poly will travel north for a dual meet against San Francisco State on Friday at 7 p.m. before returning home Sunday to host Stanford at 1 p.m.
