Chase Pami, a former Cal Poly standout wrestler, qualified for the U.S. Olympic Team Trials after he placed fifth at the Men’s Freestyle Olympic Trials Qualifier on Saturday in Las Vegas.
Pami, wrestling at 145.5 pounds, finished as one of the top three wrestlers at the tournament in his weight class who had not already qualified.
The trials are April 21-22 at Iowa City, Iowa.
Pami went 100-34 in his career at Cal Poly and was a NCAA runner-up at 157 pounds in 2010.
