Playing at Cypress Ridge on Monday, the Cal Poly women’s golf team shot a four-person 323 total for second place after the first round of the 12-team Lamkin Grip Invitational.
Asia Adell led the Mustangs, who are four strokes back of Santa Clara for the lead, by shooting a 4-over 77. Tied for third, Adell is three shots off the lead.
Cal Poly also got a 79 from Caitlin Farley (10th place).
Southern Utah’s Kaohi Loo had a hole-in-one on the 163-yard second hole but finished 10-over for the day.

Local duo qualifies for race
The grandfather-grandson team of Ralph Bush and Ryan Bush, of Arroyo Grande, have both qualified for the Thunder Roadster World Final Race at Infineon Raceway to be held Friday and Saturday.
