The Cal Poly volleyball team swept visiting Pacific 25-17, 25-21, 25-22 on Saturday night behind a stellar performance by junior All-American Jennifer Keddy, who had a career-high 21 kills in the Big West Conference match at Mott Gym.
Kristina Gaven added 14 kills for the Mustangs (7-10, 2-2 Big West), and Kate Walters had a team-high 47 assists. Lauren Law had 18 digs.
Cal Poly was efficient, with a season-high .421 hitting percentage. They also had seven team blocks, four by Keddy, to Pacific’s one. The Tigers hit just .270 as a team.
In the first set, Keddy recorded seven kills on eight attempts, and the Mustangs hit 59 percent as a team. It was Cal Poly’s third straight win at home.

WOMEN’S WATER POLO
On the second day of its own Rabobank Tournament, Cuesta College held early leads but lost 9-7 to Fullerton and 10-7 to Orange Coast to finish sixth place.
Against Fullerton, Bailey Kelley, Alexandria Bernard and Alex O’Connor all scored two goals, and Erin Hasenkamp added one. Cuesta goalie Loren Kasenberg had four saves.
Julia Tatarian scored two goals against Orange Coast, and O’Connor, Bernard, Bailey Kelley, Erin Casey and Amanda Brown all scored once for Cuesta (11-6). Kasenberg had 13 saves.
