The Cal Poly volleyball team defeated Saint Mary’s 3-1 Tuesday in a nonleague match, marking the team’s second consecutive win since losing its first game of the season to San Diego 3-2 on Saturday.
The Mustangs took the first set 25-22, then lost the second set 25-22. They came back to reel off 25-23 and 28-26 wins.
Jennifer Keddy and Kristina Graven led the effort, both racking up 19 kills for Cal Poly. Graven also led the Mustangs (3-1) with 15 digs, while Allison Lee had 11 and Catie Smith and Lauren Law had 10.
Lauren Corp led Saint Mary’s (1-3) with 20 kills, Jordan Shaw had 15 and Gabby Jolly had 14.

Seven local players on Hancock football team
Four 2011 San Luis Obispo County high school graduates were listed on Allan Hancock College’s football roster released Tuesday.
The local Bulldog freshmen are Anthony Maez (a quarterback from San Luis Obispo High), Aaron Ley (linebacker, Arroyo Grande), Griffin Soto (guard, Arroyo Grande) and Chris Reed (defensive lineman, Nipomo).
In addition, three county prep products from the 2010 class also are newcomers to Hancock this year: Duane Hanna (a linebacker/running back from Nipomo who had signed with Sacramento State coming out of high school), Tanner Hinek (a defensive lineman from Arroyo Grande who spent one year at Mid-America Nazarene University in Kansas) and Cameron Teofilo (a defensive end from Nipomo).
The Bulldogs, coming off a 3-7 season in 2010, open at home against Santa Barbara City College at 6 p.m. Saturday.
