The Cal Poly wrestling team lost the opening bout then won the final nine in a 43-3 rout of San Francisco State on Sunday at Mott Gym in the final dual meet of the season.
Cal Poly’s Boris Novachkov improved to 24-1 with a 4-0 decision over Naveed Bagheri at 141 pounds. Bagheri is ranked No. 2 in Division II.
Filip Novachkov followed his brother’s victory with an 18-3 technical fall over Dylan Phillipy at 149.
Novachkov is now 8-0 since moving up two weight classes earlier this year.
Next up for the Mustangs is the Pac-10 Championships, which begin Feb. 27 at Oregon State.

The Wildcats jumped on Rebecca Patton for seven runs in the first inning, then added seven more off Anna Cahn in the third as Cal Poly finished the Kajikaw Classic with a loss.
Kim Westlund led off the game with a single and Stephanie Correia singled in the second for the only two hits for Cal Poly (1-4).
Brigette Del Ponte hit a two-run homer in the first inning, and Brittany Lastrapes and Stacie Chambers hit three-run homers in the third inning for Arizona (5-1).

Cal Poly got three top 3 finishes Sunday.
Whitney Sisler won the high jump, clearing a height of 5 feet, 10 inches — a personal best.
Jerae Byrd was runner-up in the 60-meter hurdles in a time of 9.24 seconds.
Clara Davis took third in the pole vault at a height of 12 feet, also a personal best.
