Cal Poly volleyball freshman standout Kristina Graven was named the AVCA West Region Freshman of the Year by the American Volleyball Coaches Association on Tuesday.
Graven, who earned honorable mention on the regional team, hit .264 with 3.85 kills per set. She also averaged 2.92 digs and 0.52 blocks. Sophomore Jennifer Keddy joined Graven on the all-region team.
Keddy hit .364 with a 2.92 kills and 1.05 blocks per-set average.
Graven was the first Cal Poly player to earn a regional freshman of the year award while Keddy was the eighth Mustang to earn all-region team honors.
