College Roundup: Kline earns top-20 finish at national meet

Cal Poly senior swimmer Peter Kline finished 16th in the 200 individual medley at the 2010 AT&T Short Course National Championships on Thursday.

Kline’s time of 1 minute, 48.11 seconds is a season best for the current Big West Champion in the 200 backstroke and 400 IM.

Kline will compete in the 400 IM and 100 backstroke today and finishing with the 200 backstroke Saturday.

Sophomore Angie Haven missed out on advancing to the final in the women’s 200 IM, finishing in 2:03.27 for a 44th place finish. She will compete in the 100 butterfly and 100 breaststroke today.

Cuesta women's basketball team falls to Citrus

The Cuesta College women’s basketball team fell to Citrus 67-58 at the 27th Annual Conoco Phillips Invitational.

The Cougars (1-5) shot 36 percent in the first half and trailed 33-27 at halftime.

The Cougars play Barstow today at 3:30 p.m.

Jayme Salim led all Cuesta scorers with 14. Rachael Warner logged 12 points, nine assists and four steals. Kati Sheldon had 12 points and 14 rebounds.
