Cal Poly’s men’s tennis team fell to 0-7 with a 5-2 home loss to San Diego on Thursday.
Cal Poly’s wins came from the No. 2 doubles team of Jordan Bridge and Alex Sonesson, who defeated Charl Wolmarans and Thibaut Visay 8-5; from Brian McPhee, who won his No. 6 singles match 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 over Abdullah Hashem, and from Rob Foy, who won 6-3, 6-2 over Nils Schive at fifth singles.
At No. 1 singles, Cal Poly’s Matt Fawcett lost to Dean Jackson 6-7, 6-1, 6-4. At No. 3 singles, Cal Poly’s Drew Jacobs lost 6-1, 3-6, 7-6 to Wolmarans.

Cal Poly’s baseball game against San Francisco, scheduled for today at Baggett Stadium in San Luis Obispo, has been moved to 2 p.m. to try to beat an incoming storm system.
Games Saturday and Sunday are still set for 1 p.m.
Cal Poly women's tennis player honored
Suzie Matzenauer, a senior for the Cal Poly women’s tennis team, was named the Big West Conference Athlete of the Week.
The Northwestern transfer recently handed UCLA’s Andrea Remynse, the 43rd-ranked player in Division I, a 6-2, 7-6 (7-5) loss, going 5-1 overall between singles and doubles play during the week.
Two Cuesta players named honorable mention
Cuesta College women’s basketball players Raleigh O’Brien and Valerie Gee were named to the all-Western State Conference team as honorable mentions.
O’Brien, a freshman forward, averaged a team-high 10 points and 4.7 rebounds per game.
