Junior forward Kristina Santiago had a game-high 27 points, 13 rebounds and three blocks to help the Cal Poly women’s basketball team remain undefeated in the Big West Conference with a 63-53 win over Pacific on Thursday night at the Alex G. Spanos Center in Stockton.
The Mustangs (9-4, 2-0), led by Santiago’s 11 of 18 from the floor, hit on 49.1 percent of their shots while holding Pacific to just 33 percent.
Trailing by as many as nine points midway through the first half, the Tigers (3-10, 1-2) led 49-46 with 7:25 remaining before seeing Cal Poly go on a 17-4 run to close the game.
Freshman guard Caroline Reeves hit all four of her shots for eight points for the Mustangs while Rachel Clancy added eight points, five rebounds and three assists.
Kendall Rodriguez paced Pacific with 11 points and four steals.
Cal Poly outrebounded the Tigers 41-30 and had 19 assists to just eight for Pacific.
