The Cal Poly women’s soccer team tied No. 6 BYU 1-1 after double overtime on Thursday night.
Elise Krieghoff got the Mustangs on the board with a goal in the 5th minute, her second of the season. Megan Abutin assisted on the play with a through ball for a left-footed finish by Krieghoff.
BYU evened the score in the 20th minute, when Elena Medeiros scored from eight yards out, her third goal of the season.
BYU amassed 31 shots, only four of which were on goal. The Mustangs had 18 shots, six of them coming from Krieghoff, and seven were on goal.

Alyssa Gianetti had three saves for Cal Poly (4-2-4).
BYU entered the game 7-1 and had only conceded one goal through eight games.
