The Cal Poly men's soccer team is off to a 3-0-1 start for the first time since 2004 after defeating Air Force 1-0 on Friday night at Alex G. Spanos Stadium.
Chase Minter scored the game's only goal in the 26th minute, and goalkeeper Wade Hamilton matched a season high with six saves for the Mustangs, who have yet to trail in a game this season.
Air Force (2-2-0) outshot the Mustangs 16-10, but Hamilton had four first-half saves to turn the Falcons back at every chance. Hamilton added two more saves in the second half at the 50th and 54th minute.
Matt Lagrassa had four shots for Cal Poly, and Noah Chapleski assisted on Minter's goal.
Cal Poly returns to action Sunday at Santa Clara at 7 p.m.
