Cal Poly announced Wednesday that Katharina Winterhalter will lead the Mustangs women’s tennis team during the upcoming season, filling a void left by the resignation of Damon Coupe.
The Fresno State graduate and former All-American will take the place of Coupe, who resigned in May after compiling a 12-23 conference record during four seasons.
Winterhalter spent last season as an assistant for the Fresno City College’s men’s and women’s teams after spending the previous six seasons as an assistant at Saint Mary’s College.
“Cal Poly is a first class institution — academically and athletically — and I look forward to being part of the Mustang family,” Winterhalter said in a press release.
