SLO Blues even league record at 3-3 by beating Santa Paula Halos

Dustin Williams had a bases-loaded triple in the third inning Tuesday to lead the San Luis Obispo Blues to a 7-2 California Collegiate League win over the Santa Paula Halos at SLO Stadium.

The Halos (11-7, 3-6 CCL) took a 1-0 lead in the first inning before Williams put the Blues (15-4, 3-3) ahead for good in the third inning.

Corey Hassel had an RBI single in the fourth inning, and Ryan Sluder added RBI singles in the sixth and eighth innings to add some insurance for the Blues, who ran their overall summer collegiate baseball winning streak to seven games.

Reliever Jackson Sigman earned the win with 3 1/3 scoreless innings where he gave up one hit and struck out four.

San Luis Obispo begins a three-game home set against the Southern California Catch at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
