Cal Poly baseball recruit helps North County to victory

Ben Polshuk hit a tiebreaking home run in the bottom of the sixth inning, and the North County Indians held on for a 15-10 summer collegiate baseball victory over the visiting California Wahoos on Sunday night.

Polshuk, a Cal Poly recruit from Concord De La Salle High, blasted a solo homer as part of a six-run sixth inning that gave North County (30-8-1) a 10-4 lead.

Sinjin Todd was 3 for 4 with four runs, two RBI and three stolen bases for the Indians.

North County’s Christian Priore (two runs, two RBI), Corbin Meikle (two RBI) and Steve Pico (two RBI) added two hits each.
