Nathan Simmons and Chad Gendron combined to pitch a three-hitter to lead the Walnut Creek Crawdads to a 7-1 road win over the San Luis Obispo Blues in a summer collegiate baseball game Sunday.

Chase Davis went 2 for 3 with a run for San Luis Obispo, which fell to 9-3 overall.

Blues starter David Gonzalez pitched six innings, allowing no earned runs on four hits and one walk with three strikeouts.



North County rolls to 12-3 home win

Mac Stuart had three hits and three RBI, Myles Franklin homered, and the North County Indians rolled to a 12-3 summer collegiate baseball win over the visiting Santa Maria Reds on Sunday at Paso Robles High.

Davey Casciola had a triple among his three hits, Steve Pico drove in two runs and Josh Ramirez doubled and drove in a run for North County, which improved to 2-4.

Spencer Howard was the winning pitcher, striking out three in five innings.
