Cuesta women's water polo lost to Santa Barbara 17-5 on the road Wednesday in a conference match.
Emily Crane and Rebekah Hernandez had two goals each for Cuesta (17-5, 3-2 WSC) in the loss.
Isabella Manuele added one goal for the Cougars and goalie Sam Baker had eight saves.
The Cuesta offense was held to just 2 goals in the first three quarters.

Cuesta coach Pete Schuler said the Cougars fast break attacking style was neutralized by the smaller pool at San Marcos High School in Santa Barbara where SBCC hosts its matches.
Cuesta will travel to Ventura to play in a tournament this weekend.
