Williams the hero again as San Luis Obispo Blues win in extras
Dustin Williams provided what proved to be the winning hit for the second straight night, smacking a walk-off single in the bottom of the 11th inning Wednesday at SLO Stadium to give the San Luis Obispo Blues a 6-5 summer collegiate baseball win over the South Bay Saints.
The Oklahoma State product, who hit a go-ahead double in the seventh inning of Tuesday’s 3-2 win over the Santa Paula Halos, came on as a defensive replacement before lacing the game-ending single up the middle to score Corey Hassel.
Jackson Sigman threw two scoreless innings of relief with five strikeouts to earn the win.
