Kramer Ferrell hit a bases-loaded triple in the eighth inning Saturday as the San Luis Obispo Blues rallied for a 5-3 summer collegiate baseball win over the Neptune Beach Pearl at SLO Stadium.
John Schuknecht and Jimmy Brakka walked to lead off the bottom of the eighth inning for the Blues (24-9, 12-7 California Collegiate League). Mitch Williams then reached on a sacrifice bunt when the throw from the pitcher pulled the Pearl's first baseman off the base, loading the bases for Ferrell and his game-winning triple.
Nick King followed with a single to score Ferrell to cap the comeback for the Blues, who trailed from the start as Neptune Beach scored all of its runs in the top of the first inning.
King finished with three hits, and Quinn Walbergh and Dustin Williams added two hits apiece. Williams had five multi-hit games and extended his hitting streak to five games.
