Jon Lester is making a habit of this.
The Chicago Cubs pitcher just can’t seem to get the whole throwing-to-first-base thing down. It happened again Wednesday — although it may not have been completely his fault. The lefty fielded come-back grounder that appeared to lodge itself into the glove’s webbing, so Lester just tossed the entire package over to first baseman Anthony Rizzo to record the out. It was almost a mirror image of a play that happened last year.
