Templeton girls volleyball advances to CIF SS championship game

The Templeton girls volleyball team advanced to the championship game of the CIF Division 3A Southern Section playoffs with a win over No. 2 seed Woodcrest Christian on Tuesday night in Riverside.

Templeton won its 10th match in a row by a score of 25-19, 26-24, 26-24. Lauren Ralston had 17 kills and Hannah McRoy had 36 assists in the victory for the Eagles. Katie Bolts added 10 kills and Abby Vierra registered six kills and three aces.

Templeton (28-7) will play the No. 1 overall seed Saddleback Valley Christian (21-8) on Saturday at Rio Hondo College in Whittier. SVC, the San Joaquin League Champion that has also won its last 10 matches, defeated Loma Linda Academy 3-2 on Tuesday night.

The championship match will be played at 5 p.m. and a general ticket costs $12. Admission for high school students with an ID is $5.
