Former Mission Prep and Oregon standout Jordan Hasay on Tuesday pulled out of this week’s U.S. Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Ore.
Hasay was scheduled to run 5,000- and 10,000-meter races but withdrew from the meet because of an injury.
Hasay wrote on her blog Tuesday night she has been dealing with plantar fasciitis the past few months. Then after running in the 5,000 at the Portland Track Festival on June 13, she “developed quite severe tendonitis throughout my foot.”
Hasay finished second in the 10,000 meters at the 2013 U.S. meet and ran in the world championships that year in Moscow after completing her Oregon career earlier that season.
