Atascadero High recent graduate Jessie Hufstetler and Nipomo’s Courtney Cuzick have both earned all-state recognition by Cal-Hi Sports for softball.
Hufstetler, who’s headed to San Jose State, landed a spot in the all-state medium schools team for hitting and pitching. And Cuzick, who’s entering her senior year after leading the Titans to the CIF-Southern Section Division 5 semifinals, was named a first-team all-state underclass team member and landed on the all-state team for medium schools pitchers.
Hufstetler guided the Greyhounds (25-4) to one of the best seasons in school history, thanks to a .506 batting average, a county-best seven home runs and a 1.18 ERA.
Cuzick had a 0.79 ERA with 305 strikeouts.
