The San Luis Obispo Blues produced a big three-run fourth inning to highlight an 11-6 win over the Conejo Oaks at Cal Lutheran in a summer collegiate baseball game Monday night.
The Blues (16-6, 11-4 California Collegiate League) had a 3-2 lead going into the fourth, when Will Maddox, Bryan Peters and Austin Grisham each drove in a run. The win helped San Luis Obispo bounce back from a 4-3 loss to the MLB Academy Barons on Sunday.
Peters went 3 for 6 with two RBI, Grisham had three singles and Matt Shortall finished with three RBI. Dylan Munger got the win on the mound after going five innings with six strikeouts and allowing three hits and two runs.
The Oaks committed seven errors compared to the Blues’ one.

RATTLERS 2, SEALS 1
Scott Shields produced a two-out RBI single in the fourth inning to lift the San Luis Obispo Rattlers to a 2-1 win over the San Francisco Seals at SLO Stadium in a summer collegiate baseball game.
The Rattlers (18-7) struck first. Marc Flores sent in Steve Lozier on an RBI groundout in the first inning. San Francisco tied it up in the fourth, only to have Shields come up with the hit in the bottom half of the inning.
Michael Kathan was 2 for 4 with a stolen base and Griffin Paul pitched five innings with seven strikeouts for the Rattlers. Chris Heckert closed the final three innings with five strikeouts.
