Sports roundup: Rattlers edge Fresno for their sixth straight victory

The bullpen threw three innings of scoreless relief to help the SLO Rattlers pull out a 5-4 win over the Fresno Cardinals on Monday at SLO Stadium for their sixth straight victory.

Kyle Crist, David Murillo, and Brett Haringa threw a scoreless inning each. Crist earned the win, and Haringa got the save for the Rattlers (8-2).

Marc Flores was 2 for 3 with a double, a run, and two stolen bases, and Michael Kathan was 2 for 4 with an RBI.

Blues edge Team Vegas

Gandy Stubblefield struck out seven batters and gave up one earned run in five innings of pitching to lift the San Luis Obispo Blues to a 6-4 victory over Team Vegas late Sunday night at Basic High to take the second game in the summer collegiate baseball series.

Taylor Anderson, Cody Dufrene and Austin Grisham finished with two hits apiece for San Luis Obispo.
