Paso Robles football team falls to Pioneer Valley

Paso Robles fell on the road to Pioneer Valley 25-23 on Friday night in a PAC 7 football game.

The Bearcats (2-4, 1-2 PAC 7) fell on the road to the Panthers (4-3, 1-2 PAC 7) despite a 238-yard, two-touchdown passing performance from quarterback Garret Nelson.

Facing a 19-9 deficit at halftime, the Bearcats started off the second half with a 27-yard touchdown pass from Nelson to Mac Stuart.

After a Jason Espinoza touchdown pass to Kevin Anderson gave Pioneer Valley a 25-16 lead, Jimmy Pacheco scored on a 1-yard touchdown run for the Bearcats to bring the score to 25-23.

Max Blanton finished with four catches for 97 yards, and Elias Stokes finished with seven catches for 95 yards for Paso Robles. Colton Madrigal led the team with 55 yards rushing.
