The Mission Prep football team continued its winning ways Friday night with a dominant 64-7 victory over visiting Sierra Pacific, scoring all of its points in the first half.
Mission Prep (5-1) jumped out to a 30-0 lead in the first quarter, scoring in all three phases of the game. Quarterback Tyler Baty had two touchdown passes in the quarter, one to Trevor Fernandez and one to Joey Hall, Andrew DaRosa blocked a punt and recovered it in the end zone for another score and Mission Prep’s defense sacked Golden Bears quarterback Jonathan Gonzales in the end zone for a safety.
The scoring continued in the second quarter, with Baty finding Fernandez twice and Hall once more for touchdowns.
Hall also returned an interception 37 yards for a touchdown.

Patrick Laird had 12 carries for 154 yards and two touchdowns for the Royals in the first half, and Baty threw for 145 yards on 11-of-14 passing and five touchdowns in the first two quarters. Fernandez finished with three catches for 38 yards and three touchdowns.
