Cuesta College product Ty Muller batted 2 for 5 with a double and was one of five San Luis Obispo Blues players with two RBI as the Blues surged to an 18-1 win over the visiting Monterey Bay Sox on Friday night at SLO Stadium.
It was the highest scoring output of the season for the Blues (15-6), who have won 10 of their past 11 and came into the game with a half-game lead on the Santa Barbara Foresters for first place in the California Collegiate League.
The Bay Sox actually took a 1-0 lead in the first inning of the non-league game, scoring an unearned run against former Mission Prep standout Dylan Morrow on a throwing error in right field. Morrow had struck out two of the first three batters he faced and finished with five strikeouts and three hits allowed in three innings.
The Blues got on the board with three runs in the second inning and broke the game wide open with nine runs in the fourth.

Chad Christensen was 3 for 5 with two doubles, two runs and two RBI for the Blues. A.J. Robinson was 2 for 5 with a double and two RBI, and Matt Orloff and Cory Burleson each drove in two.
