Unfortunately for the Rattlers, it was the only run of the game.
San Luis Obispo (8-11) fell to 2-10 in the California Collegiate League with a 1-0 road loss to Santa Barbara (13-5, 7-3 CCL) on Friday.
Richie Mirowski struck out six in five innings, and relievers D.J. Gunderson and Trevor Elswick combined to walk just one in three no-hit innings to close out the game, but the Rattlers got just two hits of their own.
Cuesta College product Davey Schultz, a former San Luis Obispo High standout, was 1 for 3 leading off for the Rattlers. Jimmy Allen had the only other San Luis Obispo hit. Both were singles.
