EVANS, Ga. — A placement that would have qualified him for a check a year ago, did not measure up for Jared Lintner on Friday.
The fifth-year Bassmaster Elite pro came up three ounches shy of making the first cut. He placed 48th. Only the top 47 earn checks this season as the field consists of 93 anglers.
Clarks Hill Lake had been a money-winner for the Arroyo Grande’s Lintner in his first three pro tries. On Frdiay, the biggest fish caught in the field was 6 pounds, 2 ounces,. There were only 11 bags over 12 total pounds.
Lintner has only two more tournaments to earn $40,000, which is the entry fee all the pays pro paid. Next up is event seven at Kentucky Lake on June 9-12.
