Five San Luis Obispo County boys and girls soccer teams were awarded CIF-Southern Section divisional playoff berths Monday.
In boys soccer, Arroyo Grande (17-7-2), the PAC 7 league’s No. 2 seed, will host New Roads at 3 p.m. Thursday in Division 5 play. The Eagles were the division’s No. 8-ranked team in the final regular-season poll.
San Luis Obispo (13-8-1), the league’s fourth-place squad, will host Lennox Academy in a Division 5 wild-card contest at 3 p.m. today.
On the girls side, Arroyo Grande (20-4) is also the league’s second seed, and will host Culver City at 3 p.m. Friday in Division 3 play. Third-place San Luis Obispo (20-3-2), meanwhile, will visit Santa Monica at the same time. The Eagles girls finished the regular season ranked eighth in the divisional poll, while the Tigers were 10th.
Paso Robles (11-10-4), the fourth-place team in the league, will travel to face Centennial of Corona in a Division 3 wild-card matchup at 3 p.m. Wednesday.
GIRLS WATER POLOArroyo Grande, Atascadero and San Luis Obispo were all seeded in the section’s Division 4 postseason bracket announced Sunday.
All three will open the first round at 3:15 p.m. Thursday.
Arroyo Grande, at 26-3 overall during the regular season, earned the field’s No. 1 overall seed after being its top-ranked team all year. The Eagles, in search of their third straight divisional crown, open by hosting Burroughs of Burbank.
San Luis Obispo (13-10), the league’s No. 2 team, will visit Pasadena, while third-place Atascadero (16-9) will travel to face Cabrillo in Lompoc.
