Former Mission Prep star Jordan Hasay ran the opening leg on Oregon’s winning distance medley relay team Friday at the Texas &M Challenge in College Station, Texas.
The Texas A&M Challenge is a three-way meet with three Pac-10 teams (Oregon, Stanford and Washington State) paired against three Big 12 teams (Texas A&M, Texas and Baylor) and three Southeastern Conference teams (Florida, Arkansas and South Carolina).
Hasay, making her college indoor track debut, ran the 1,200-meter portion of the distance medley relay (1,200, 400, 800, 1,600) in 3 minutes, 21.49 seconds. Her split was more than seven seconds faster than the second-best split on the 1,200 leg of the relay.
The Ducks won in 10:59.64, winning by more than 16 seconds and qualifying on a time basis for the NCAA indoor championships later this season.
