As Garrison Keillor wraps up more than four decades of visiting our homes and cars via the radio waves of KCBX, it was heartening to see an article on him.

Gleaning a little insight behind the storytelling legend personalized, him made him seem even more interesting and clarified my certainty that this community will be thrilled to know he will be coming to San Luis Obispo for a visit in November!

Listeners and readers need not say a final farewell to Mr. Keillor just yet! The San Luis Obispo Classical Academy is sponsoring an event Nov. 16, where he will be performing at the Performing Arts Center.

So for those of you who would like the opportunity to garner a few more pearls of wisdom from the famed storyteller, you will have the chance!

Keillor has a soft spot for San Luis Obispo, just as we have such admiration for him. Thank you for highlighting him in your paper and for giving me the opportunity to share the good news of his visit!

Cozy Faber, San Luis Obispo
