July Fourth celebrations should have made front page

I was very disappointed not to see a front page article in the July Fourth edition of The Tribune commemorating the 240th birthday of the United States.

Instead, we were treated to a major front page article and a four-column wide color picture on Islam and Ramadan!

If this Muslim article was desired by the editor, then maybe July 6 — the day after Ramadan ends — would have been a more appropriate date for it.

But our nation’s birthday should have taken precedence on Page 1A of the Tribune on July Fourth!
