Exchange of opinions in Cal Poly case ensures democracy is on track

Re: Matthew Hoy’s column, “Cal Poly student’s complaint against professor is without merit,” June 12:

In America, all citizens are accounted for — even the tiny group called “homosexuals.”

Cal poly lecturer Michael Winn expressed in his class that homosexuals are “immoral” — his opinion.

Student Mick Bruckner disagreed.

The future of our democracy is on track — in my opinion.
