Letters to the Editor

Death threats are unacceptable

Shame on The Tribune for printing the letter to the editor on Nov. 6 titled “Freedom Caucus is treasonous.” No matter what your opinion may be about the Freedom Caucus, the letter states, “I would support the public hanging … they have the same goals as our sworn enemies … and it is time they paid the price for their behavior.”

Just insert the name of any politician and read it: “I would support the public hanging of President Obama (or Donald Trump or Lois Capps, etc.)” and it becomes crystal clear. Death threats in the editorial column are acceptable?
