Thanks to Paula McCambridge for her article (“The Gay And Lesbian Alliance of the Central Coast’s annual exhibit brings together 20 artists,” June 14) regarding the art exhibit at GALA, 1060 Palm St. in San Luis Obispo.
I am not a member of the gay community; I have been happily married to the same man for 50-plus years.
I met Ethel Landers, the gallery’s curator, through a friend.
When she learned that I was an artist, she immediately encouraged me to show my art in their gallery.

The gallery is located in an older-style San Luis Obispo home that has been refurbished. When you walk in, it feels warm and cozy, and you are greeted warmly, too.
I encourage people from all persuasions of life to attend the “Art After Dark” walks through San Luis Obispo art galleries on the first Friday of the month, 6 to 9 p.m.
See you there.
