Congresswoman Lois Capps has ably represented our district in Congress. Her efforts have been blocked in recent years by the “do-nothing” Republicans who created the worst record of any Congress in U.S. history. She is retiring now, and we must choose someone else.
Assemblyman Katcho Achadjian is a nice guy and not an extremist, but he votes against progress. If he is elected, he will be under the control of extremists. His vote for Speaker of the House would be terribly destructive.
We need to replace the old Congress and get a Congress that will work for America, not for a party.
Capps has endorsed Santa Barbara County Supervisor Salud Carbajal. His name means “health,” like when you make a toast. He has a good record. You may not know him yet, but I do. He will vote for progress, basing his votes on reason, knowledge, patriotism, faithfulness, goodwill and the Constitution.
