Focus on the drought

Here are some interesting statistics listing major droughts in California history since 1900: 1917 to ’21, 1922 to ’26, 1928 to ’37, 1943 to ’51, 1959 to ’62, 1976 to ’77, 1987 to ’92, 2007 to ’09 and 2012 to ’15.

And what have we done to plan for any of them? I think our state government leaders, from top to bottom, should have figured out a plan for these droughts by now.

Scrap the bullet train to nowhere and build a water pipeline and/or grant the money to cities on the coast for desalination plants. We should not be having this conversation in 2015.
