I agree with Stephen Bennett’s letter (March 30) concerning proposed building projects when we are in a drought.
Five days a week, I walk past the new hotel near completion near Cuesta’s North County campus. It is large enough to house a small village! Where will the water come from for drinking, showers, toilets and laundry?
Then they put in three vineyards and a forest of trees, 10 to 15 feet tall. All of the plants are being irrigated.
I understand the building plans were probably approved years ago, but it would be nice if there was a way to re-check for all this landscaping and then require modifications. We have to make changes now!
