Vote to have impact

Tom Fulks’ Viewpoint piece (March 1) was spot on. To wit: For the November election, the San Luis Obispo County Clerk-Recorder’s Office sent out about 95,000 mail-in ballots, and about 39,200, or 41 percent, had been returned as of the Friday before the Nov. 2 election, then-county Clerk-Recorder Julie Rodewald said.

Apparently, about 56,000 people couldn’t even be bothered to fill out a ballot in the comfort of their own homes and drop it in the mailbox. So, if any of those folks feel their representatives not only don’t favor their interests, they’re not even aware of them — and it is nobody’s fault but their own.
