A disastrous plan

Pismo Beach Mayor Shelly Higginbotham’s lovely comments about Mr. Chapman, as she interprets his wishes, are a formula for disaster, (“Permitting access,” March 12). Imagine something happening and trying to get 600 people out of our tiny streets. There are so many things wrong with this ambitious project that I can’t believe common sense does not prevail. Scooting them in and out, blocking our streets and traffic issues are just the beginning of this unfair amended permit.

I am sure Mr. Chapman did not hand out 600 hot dogs and then decide to have 600 people traipse all over our streets and his house. This small neighborhood, with this one big house, cannot justify having parties for 600 people. First it was 300, then 600, then what?
