It may be time to consider suspending some, or all, of the fraternities at Cal Poly indefinitely. It seems that too often, possible criminal activity is connected to one or more of these groups. It appears that the people who are charged with making sure their activities are responsible have abdicated their jobs. There are people who commit crimes — even in college!
Additionally, as a former victim’s advocate, I do hope that the most recent alleged victim will agree to testify, if that becomes necessary, with regard to the assault she reported.
In my experience, this can be very helpful to the victim, and local advocates could assist her along the way. A successful prosecution would prevent this individual from making others his victim in the future. Even if a person has been drugged in the commission of such a crime, it is quite possible to obtain a conviction.
I also believe that Cal Poly should be supporting this young lady in every way it can!
