On Oct. 30, a large group of students paraded along the parkway between South Bay and Baywood Elementary School. Going back toward the middle school, they were tromping in the ice plants, and some were lying down right in front of the sign that says, “Keep out. Sensitive habitat.” Apparently, the adults in charge were not in charge (obviously) and are not teaching reading and retention skills in our schools.
Please, keep our students safe. They could easily break their ankles if they step in gopher holes venturing where they don’t belong. What they were learning on this outing is a mystery!
